Claude Vivian Minton, in the 1914-18 war.

His father was village schoolmaster at Dolanog, and when he became ill, Auntie Nance, recently graduated BA from Bangor, took over school temporarily. But he died, and she stayed on.

Claude, released from the army, married Auntie Nance and became teacher at Guilsfield school, near by. He travelled there on motorbike, and was killed when he ran into a bus at an intersection. He was 39 years old. He is buried at Dolanog, and his son Raymond's ashes are interred in the same grave.
