Henry Short had an an engineering works around the Mile End Road (London).

• Edward, whose children were (oldest first):
  • Nellie (d.1918), married Frank Poole, daughter Nellie born 1912
  • ?, died young (this is almost certainly the same as Nellie - we believe there were only five children)
  • Ted, married Winnie
  • Harry, married May, son Harry and daughter Joan (b. 1 Feb 1922, d. 1937)
  • Winifred Lilian
  • Frank, married Iris, daughter Ann and son Tony (b. 1947)
• Uncle Ernest

There are three Franks in that list:

• Uncle Frank, son of Henry Short;
• Frank, youngest son of Edward and grandson of Henry:
• Frank Poole, husband of Nellie (the oldest daughter of Edward and granddaughter of Henry) and father of another Nellie.

One of these Franks was the father of yet another Frank whose daughter (?) is still in contact.
